Aham Brahmasmi 2.0A recorded course by Tushar Mehrotra

Come home to yourself.

At Banaras the Ganga turns north, as if going back toward where it began. These two courses are that turn: the philosophy, ready today, and the psychology, taught live first.

Joining the list is free and holds no seat. The first 100 seats are the live batch; the first 50 of them are ₹999, then ₹1,499, then ₹1,999.

The far bank is already in the water at your feet.

The reflection is exact. It is not the bank. You have had the reflection for years: you can describe what you avoid, calmly and correctly.

Knowing happens on one bank and moving on the other, and the second has never taken an instruction from the first. These hours are spent in the water between.

Some people are always down here before sunrise.

  • You have read the books. More than one shelf.
  • The advice you would give is the advice you are not taking.
  • You have started before, and you know the week it stopped.

You are not short of insight. You are short of the crossing.

If that is not you, close this gently.

When the old trigger fires, the body picks one of four.

This is where 2.0 starts. Most people know theirs the moment they read it.

  • Fight

You argue, you correct, you control. You win the point and lose the evening.

The story: “I am only being honest.”
  • Flight

You stay busy. Perfecting, planning, starting the next thing, so the real one never begins.

The story: “I just have high standards.”
  • Freeze

You go over it, again and again, and then go numb. Hours pass and nothing moves.

The story: “I am still thinking it through.”
  • Fawn

You keep everyone comfortable and go quiet about what you want, until you are alone in a full room.

    The story: “I am easy-going.”

None of these is a flaw in you. Each one kept you safe once, and it is still on duty.

From the handwritten atlas of patterns in my notes, where 2.0 began.

Two ghats, one river.

Not one course: two, with three years of work in each.

Aham Brahmasmi

The philosophy · three years to build

Who is the one who suffers? The Gita, the Upanishads and Vedanta from the roots: the seer and the seen, neti neti, the five sheaths, the four yogas. 10+ hours, ready the day you join.

  • Bhagavad Gita
  • Upanishads
  • Vedanta
  • Karma
  • Ego
  • The witness
  • Maya
  • Dharma

2.0

The psychology · three more years, taught live first

Why knowing does not become doing. Two live days on Zoom, 3+ hours each: 6+ hours on trauma, the nervous system and what heals it. Then the full course is released, and it comes to every seat bought now.

Psychology map deti hai. Vedanta woh deti hai jo map padhta hai.

Psychology gives you the map. Vedanta gives you the one who reads it.

Together, for now. Today a seat buys both, and 2.0 reaches you in full when it is released, at no extra cost. Later they are sold separately, and apart they will cost more than they do together today.

The psychology, stretch by stretch.

2.0 is taught from my teaching notes, so this is the ground, not a lesson list. Each stretch is read twice: once by psychology, then by Vedanta.

  1. The bodyFight, flight, freeze and fawn. The window of tolerance. The second brain.Vedanta: the first two of the five sheaths
  2. The old woundTrauma and its origins. Conditional love. The roles a child takes on.Vedanta: samskara, the groove an impression leaves
  3. The bondAttachment. People-pleasing as a fawn. Boundaries. The Gita: raga and dvesha, the pull and the push
  4. The hiddenShame and guilt. Shadow work. Self-worth.Vedanta: ahankara, the maker of “I”
  5. The triggerEmotional flashbacks. Why the old reaction wins. Healing, and what it actually looks like. The Gita: the chain from dwelling on a thing to losing yourself in it
  6. The watcher“There is agitation in my nervous system,” instead of “I am agitated.”Vedanta: sakshi, the witness
Read one outline from the notes

The nervous system: your body is wiser than you are.

  1. Two modes. Sympathetic, the danger mode of fight and flight. Parasympathetic, the safety mode of rest and digest.
  2. A trigger is not always real. A memory, a tone of voice, even a smell can tell the body there is danger.
  3. The body keeps score. Trauma is held in the body, which is why talking about it is rarely enough.
  4. Freeze. Not angry, not running, just numb. That too is the nervous system.
  5. Co-regulation. Near a calm person, your system starts to settle by itself.
  6. The window of tolerance. Trauma shrinks the zone in which you can function.
  7. The observer bridge. “There is agitation in my nervous system.” That shift is where witnessing begins.

Translated from the Hinglish of the notes. It is taught in Hinglish.

Four steps down to the water.

  1. Pattern

The top step. See the shape of what you keep doing, without the story you usually tell about it.

name one pull and one push, inside one ordinary hour.

  2. Defence

Lower. What the shape is protecting. A pattern that old is being paid in some currency.

name the year it was needed.

  3. Witness

Near the water. The part of you that stands back and sees the pattern go by, without going with it.

catch one “I am” that is really “this is happening”.

  4. Dharma

In the water. What you actually do on a flat Tuesday, once the insight has faded.

the smallest action available, and nothing larger.

Every lesson ends on one of these small actions, before the next idea arrives.

Six years on these steps.

  1. Years one to three

The first course is built: old texts read until they could be taught to someone who has never opened them.

  2. Then, live

Five batches, more than a thousand students. The first batch's 50 seats went in about an hour.

  3. Then, quiet

The website came down for three more years of psychology, trauma and the nervous system. The old trigger still won, until day eight of a ten-day silent retreat, when I cried for two hours.

  4. Now

The first course is ready. 2.0 is taught live first, and both come out together.

Why is a poet teaching this?

Poetry is sitting with a thing for years without flinching, then saying it in the fewest honest words. That is the muscle these courses train.

कई बार दुःख
इतनी सरलता से आता है
जैसे अपने घर लौट रहा हो!

From one of his poems. Literally: sometimes sorrow arrives so simply, as if it were returning home.

Log haarkar sab chhodte hain. Humne sab jeetkar chhoda.

NIT Raipur, then Deloitte, and out within the year. I did not make this from a peak; I made it from a collapse. It was not recorded on a ghat. The steps are how it is told.

What is on the other bank.

Not a promise that the pattern stops. Something smaller, and truer: a pause between the trigger and whatever you do next.

Sirf ek second. Lekin woh ek second, woh choice hai.

Just one second. But that second is a choice.

Did people finish it?

81 of every 100 did, in our own internal run.

Each lamp is one in a hundred; lit is finished. The run followed every student from the first lesson to the last. About one in ten is what people quote for online courses. I did not measure that, so it gets no lamps.

1,000+ students taught5 live batches

The live sessions, kept in chapters.

Drawn, not a screenshot: one recording, with its chapter marks.

The live sessions run two days on Zoom, 3+ hours each day. Afterwards the recordings come to you cleanly cut into chapters, so you can go straight to the question you came with, and back to it on a bad Tuesday.

What you carry down.

  • 2courses, the philosophy and the psychology, together for now
  • 16+hours in all: the philosophy, and the psychology taught live
  • 10+hours of the philosophy, open the day you join
  • 6+hours of psychology: two live days on Zoom, 3+ hours each
  • 50+lessons of about twenty minutes, in Hinglish
  • 1book, included
  • 2.0the full psychology course, when it is released, at no extra cost
  • Lifetimeaccess, paid once. Every lesson ends on one small thing to do.

Fourteen days to ask for the money back. One message, no reason asked.

Stay on the bank if…

  • ×₹999 is the main reason you are here. The lowest step is not a reason to go down.
  • ×You want to feel motivated. There is nothing here for the mood; every lesson ends with something to do.
  • ×You need a clinician. This is not therapy, and I would send you to one.
  • ×You have not yet tried to change something and watched it slide back. Come down after the first attempt.

If you can name the pattern out loud and it still runs, come down.

What people ask on the steps.

Two courses? What exactly do I get?

Both. Aham Brahmasmi, the philosophy, and 2.0, the psychology, come together today, at the price on the steps below. Later they will be sold separately, and apart they will cost more. No date or later price is set yet, so none is printed here.

Is 2.0 ready? Do I pay again when it comes?

No, you do not pay again. The 10+ hours of the philosophy open on the day you join, and the two live days give you 6+ hours of psychology, 3+ hours each day. That is 2.0 taught live. When it is released as its own course, every seat bought now gets it in full at no extra cost, the first seat and the thousandth alike. No release date is set yet, so none is printed.

The Gita is free. Why pay for this?

It is free, and it is unordered. What is paid for here is the order: six years of reading put into one sequence, the philosophy first and the psychology after it, with one small thing to do at the end of every lesson.

I never finish courses.

Most people do not. We counted our own internal run, student by student, and 81% finished. The figure for online courses is usually put near one in ten; I did not measure that. The lessons are short by design, each ending on one small action.

Is this more theory?

Theory is the far bank, and you already have the view. 6+ hours of the course are about why understanding does not get across, and each lesson finishes with one small action.

Why recorded, and not live?

I taught it live, five batches. Recordings stayed up for seven days, and people said hours at a time were more than they could carry. They asked me to keep it, so I cut it into short lessons you keep for life.

Is it in Hindi or English, and where do I watch it?

In Hinglish, the way I actually talk. Most lessons run about twenty minutes. It lives on TagMango, where you buy it; the link reaches the waitlist before anyone else.

Is the waitlist a trick?

It is one WhatsApp message. It is free, holds no seat, and charges nothing. You are told the moment the doors open, and you decide then.

Three steps down. The price climbs them.

  1. ₹1,999seat 101 onward, and it stays
  2. ₹1,499the next 50 seats
  3. ₹999the first 50, at the water
Today
Both courses, together. 2.0 comes to you in full when it is released, at no extra cost.
Later
Each course sold on its own, and apart they cost more. No date or price is set yet, so none is printed.

16+ hours at ₹999 is under ₹63 an hour. Even at ₹1,999 it is under ₹125 an hour, and that is before 2.0 arrives in full.

Seats 1 to 100 are the live batch: two days on Zoom, 3+ hours each. Seat 101 onward is not a smaller seat: the same two courses and the same book, the 10+ hours on the day you join, both live days as recordings cut into chapters, and 2.0 in full when it is released. The price moves with the seats, only upward. Paid once, kept for life.

Take the lowest step when the doors open.

Joining the waitlist is one WhatsApp message. It is free, and it holds no seat. You are told the moment the doors open, and you decide then. The lowest step is fifty seats; every step carries 2.0 with it.

Tell me when it opens

WhatsApp opens with a message ready to go. You press Send. I send the link to the list first, while the lowest step is still there; then the doors open to everyone.
